Race Director – Chris Martin

 

Lia Ditton, one of the UKís professional female sailors and an artist. She entered her first solo Trans-Atlantic Yacht race, the 2005 Faraday Mill OSTAR in order to live the subject of her art. Out of 43 entrants, Lia was not only the youngest competitor but the only woman to finish in the smallest trimaran in the fleet. In June 2006, at the Chelsea College of Art, will be staging a live 24/7 interactive art installation called ìAbsolute Solitudeî where she will live for 28 days non-stop in a 40ft by 28ft wide racing Trimaran. PAUL CUNNINGHAM

Master Navigator, Paul Cunningham will help us with our route and call us each day with updates. He handled the route for the winner of the 2015 Atlantic crossing.

Based in Devonshire, England , Paul is a Nautical Surveyor, Compass Adjuster, MCA Master, Yachtmaster Examiner at his company, Southcoasting Navigators. Southcoasting is small full service navigation company offering services to the diverse marine sector. Operating worldwide, he provides super-yacht, yacht and commercial vessel surveys, professional compass adjusters and instrument calibrators, navigation aids, race boat management and crew selection, new and used vessel project management and purchase assistance. Examiner of captains for COC and owners satisfaction. USS, RYA & MCA training and vessel deliveries – worldwide.

 

ADVANCED MEDICINE

Advanced Medicine will provide us with medical support during the race.

John Molina, DO

John Molina, DO will provide us with medical support during the race.

Molina has been practicing medicine in the Orange County area for over 14 years at  Bristol Plaza Family Medicine.  He is a Board Certified Family Physician with a special interest and proficiency inmusculoskeletal, joint and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging and an advocate for bio-identical hormone replacement and optimizing for both men and women. Dr Molina has treated numerous professional athletes and is at the cutting edge of total body rejuvenation.

Dr Molina received his medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.  He holds a Physician and Surgeon certificate from the Osteopathic Medical board of California and is board certified in Family Medicine.

Donald W Plance DO

Dr. Plance will provide us with sports related medical support throughout the race.

Dr. Plance graduated from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1987. He works in Montrose, CA and specializes in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Plance is affiliated with Providence Holy Cross Medical Center and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.
